Unified Socialist’s plenary CC meet to continue today as well

To approve various works done by Central Secretariat and other bodies

KATHMANDU: The second plenary meeting of CPN-Unified Socialist’s Central Committee (CC) that began on Saturday will continue today as well.

The CC meeting is scheduled to approve the various works done by the central secretariat and bodies on Sunday. Likewise, the meeting is also scheduled to endorse various resolutions.

Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has been reinforcing the need to change the country’s what he said “expensive electoral system”.

He has also advocated against surrendering national interests.

During Saturday’s meeting, the party’s Honorary leader Jhala Nath Khanal presented an ideological political report in which he said that people’s multi-party democracy could no longer be the guiding principle of the party.

Khanal also argued that the Unified Socialist was formed after the CPN-UML failed to achieve the socialist revolution.

Claiming that they had revolted against individualistic tendencies instead of splitting from the UML, Khanal said that the Unified Socialist could only lead the socialist revolution.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Province 1 Rajendra Kumar Rai and Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Rajendra Pandey briefed about the future plans of the provincial governments, said party’s Chief of Publicity Department Jagannath Khatiwada.
