Speaker Sapkota vows to work for country and people’s benefits



KATHMANDU: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota, has asserted that he would not work against the country and the people under anyone’s pressure.

Speaking at an inaugural program of a building of Fyafulla Club at Balefi Rural Municipality-4, Sindhupalchowk and Dashain greetings exchange program on Thursday, Speaker Sapkota said that the country has passed through unprecedented crises such as COVID-19, natural disaster and political upheaval in the past two years.

On a different note, Speaker Sapkota said the excitement and enthusiasm of a new generation should not be allowed to go to waste and they should be allowed the opportunity to mainstream their energy in nation-building efforts.

Speaker Sapkota had provided Rs 2 million for the construction of a two-storied building under the Constituency Special Development Program. The Bagmati Province Government had provided Rs 3 million and Balefi rural municipality Rs 500,000 for the building construction, it is informed.
