Four held with narcotic drugs

BUTWAL: Police have arrested four individuals on the charge of trafficking in drugs from Rupandehi district.

The arrested are 27-year-old Sagar Pokharel of Pokhara Metropolitan City-22, Kaski, Madhukar Bishwokarma of Godawari municipality-1, Lalitpur, Durga Rana, 34, of Gaidhawa rural municipality-9, Rupandehi  and Ashok Kumar Lodh, 16 of Kanchan rural municipality-2.

A team of police deployed from ward police office, Butwal arrested them with 37 ampules of Phenergan, 37 tables of Diazepam among others during a security check, DSP Satya Narayan Thapa said.

Similarly, a police squad deployed from Area Police Office, Suryapura arrested Rana and Lodh with 88 tablets of Nitravet and 48 tablets of diazepam during a security check.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the four under control.
