KATHMANDU: Neplai Congress leaders close to Senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel held a meeting at party General Secretary Dr. Shashank Koirala’s residence at Maharajgunj, Kathmandu on Saturday afternoon.
Before the party’s central working committee (CWC) meeting scheduled for Saturday afternoon starts, leaders seeking alternatives to party President Sher Bahadur Deuba are engaged in separate discussions to form a common opinion.
The party’s CWC meeting that started on Thursday is discussing the agenda of the party’s general convention.
As it is not possible to hold the general convention within the earlier scheduled for September 4-8, there is a dispute in the ruling NC over how to set the next schedule.
Senior leader Poudel, former general secretary Prakash Man Singh and others are participating in the meeting held at Koirala’s residence.
