No room for admitting Madhav Kumar Nepal’s mistakes: UML Chair Oli

Says leader Nepal is a shameless person

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said that there is no room for admitting mistakes in the case of senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Addressing the cadres gathered at his residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur, Wednesday, Oli accused leader Nepal of having no shame. Oli left the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar earlier in the day and was escorted by a rally of motorcycles and cars on his way to Balkot.

While Oli slammed Nepal for his actions that led to topping the government of his own party, cadres chanted slogans against leader Nepal.

“Madhav Kumar Nepal led the initiatives to bring unrest in the party, democracy, and toppled own party’s government. A person like Madhav Nepal has no shame,” Oli said. He blamed Nepal for the current situation.

Supporters welcome Oli at his residence in Balkot.

“Other cadres, who went astray, will be welcomed and given roles in the party by forgiving their weaknesses. But in the case of Madhav Nepal, there is no room for admitting mistakes and weaknesses,” Oli said, adding, “Madhav Nepal is the one who is responsible for the current situation that led to the toppling of a pro-development government.”

Oli also ridiculed Nepal’s move of extending hand to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba after the oath-taking ceremony Tuesday. “Deuba was reluctant to shake hands, but Nepal was extending his hand forward,” Oli said.

He also thanked cadres who came and accompanied him to his house.
