Sudurpaschim Government bringing budget of around 29 billion

DHANGADI: The Sudurpaschim Government is preparing to bring the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2078-79 BS (2021-22 ) tomorrow or June 14.

According to the Economic Affairs and Planning Ministry, the estimated size of the budget would be around Rs 29 billion. It may be noted that the provincial government announced a budget of Rs 33.5 billion for the current fiscal year.

As the ministry said, the size of the fresh budget would be smaller than the current budget as the equalization grants and special grants provided by the central government have been reduced and there are savings in the current fiscal year’s budget as well.

Around two billion of development budget has remained unspent as the prohibitory order taken against the COVID-19 crisis hampered the development endeavors, said Khagendra Saund, information officer at the ministry.
