Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 4,669 with 203 new fatalities

KATHMANDU: As many as 203 COVID-19 patients have reportedly succumbed to the coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new deaths have taken the country’s death toll to 4,669 as of Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Nepal recorded a total of 8,520 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours taking the total coronavirus cases in the country to 4,39,658 as of Friday afternoon.

According to the Ministry, 2,733 persons in Kathmandu, 481 in Lalitpur, and 348 in Bhaktapur have tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 3,562 in past 24 hours.

In the meantime, 6,135 people have recovered from coronavirus making the number of recovered cases 3,27,653.

According to the Ministry sources, the recovery rate is 74.5%.
