CBSE postpones Grade 12 exams scheduled for May 4 onwards



KATHMANDU: With the spiking cases of coronavirus pandemic in India, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to postpone Class XII Board Exams and cancel Class X Board Exams scheduled to start from May 4.

Issuing a notice on April 14, CBSE, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development of Government of India has notified all that looking to the present situation of the pandemic and school closures and also taking in account the safety and well-being of students it has decided to postpone Class XII Board Exams till further notice.

The Board states that the situation will be reviewed on June 1st and the students would be notified about the exam date. It has assured that the students will be informed at least 15 days earlier to the exam.

Similarly, the Board has cancelled board exam of Grade X.

Earlier CBSE had scheduled Class XII Board Exam for May 4-June 14 and Class X Board Exam for May 4-June 7.
