Kanchanpur ‘gang-rape’ scandal turns fake

KANCHANPUR: The incident of Friday evening’s gang-rape in Kanchanpur is found to be fake.

According to DSP Amar Bahadur Thapa, the spokesperson of District Police office Kanchanpur, a girl’s claim that she was kidnapped by three motorcyclists and raped on Friday evening is proved false.

The police investigation has revealed that the girl had gone to meet her boyfriend and was late to return home, so she had told a lie to the parents and the neighbors.

The girl of Punarbas-2, had gone to the nearby shop to buy a pen at around 7 pm and had returned home late spending time with her boy friend.

Dreading that the parents would scoff at her for returning late, she had told a false story to everyone.

The girl and her boyfriend read in the same school in grade 7.
