Poudel expresses solidarity with students staging a hunger strike

KATHMANDU: Senior leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel has expressed solidarity with students of the NC-affiliated Nepal Students’ Union staging a hunger strike at the Tribhuvan University (TU) premises.

Poudel reached the TU Vice-Chancellor’s Office on Sunday afternoon to meet the students who have been on a hunger strike for the past 12 days demanding the immediate declaration of the long-delayed election of the Free Students’ Union, among other demands.

President of NSU Tribhuvan University Committee, Dr Shyam Chandra Adhikari said that Poudel had reached the TU to show solidarity with the students’ demands.
