Maoist Chair Prachanda gets his COVID-19 tested Monday



KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has gone through an antigen test against COVID-19 on Monday.

Abiding by the Parliament Secretariat’s notice to the lawmakers to get the coronavirus tested prior to joining the parliament, the Maoist Chairman got his COVID-19 tested via antigen method at the parliament building in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu

Earlier, the Parliament Secretariat had informed the members that the coronavirus test of the lawmakers would be held on Monday.

Issuing a notice on December 2, President Bidya Devi Bhandari had convened a session of both the Houses of the Federal Parliament at the International Conference Center, New Baneshwor at 2 pm, Tuesday.

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota inspected the assembly hall of the parliament on Monday.

The antigen test is scheduled to take place till 3 pm today.
