KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) presidential candidate Shekhar Koirala met senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and sought his support.
During the meeting held at Poudel’s residence in Boharatar Monday morning, Poudel assured Koirala of his support and expressed good wishes to him.
After failing to field a unanimous candidate from the Poudel faction, Koirala decided to contest the election in the party’s 14th General Convention.
According to sources, Poudel will not participate in today’s election.
