POKHARA: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has said that media persons should be able to establish the truth as per the expectations of the people and defend wrongdoings.
Speaking at the inauguration program of the newly elected working committee of Press Center Nepal District Committee Kaski here on Friday, he stressed on the need for the media to continuously inform the people.
It is the responsibility of the media personnel to alert the government of its shortcomings in course of establishing the struggle for Federal Democratic Republic and its achievements.
Newly elected chairperson Krishna Dawadi expressed his commitment to work for quality development of journalism and journalists. The district convention has selected a 21-member district committee under the chairmanship of Dawadi.
The Press Center has formed an 11-member municipal committee under the chairmanship of Shivaraj Bastakoti from the first convention of Pokhara Metropolitan Committee on Friday.
