About 2200 COVID-affected families getting govt relief



PARBAT: Nearly 2,200 COVID-19 affected families in Parbat are set to receive government assistance.

A total of 2,188 families affected by the pandemic in seven local levels of the district will get relief money from the government. The government has decided to provide Rs 10,000 in cash to the families who have lost their source of employment and income due to COVID-19. According to this criteria, 2,188 families in Parbat will be eligible for the incentive.

Public notice has also been published today calling those eligible to apply for the assistance to be distributed from the local levels of the district. The relief will be given to 446 families of Jaljala, 311 of Modi, 528 of Kushma, 386 of Phalewas, 144 of Mahashila, 179 of Bihadi and 194 of Painyu.

Chair of Bihadi Rural Municipality Kamal Bhusal shared that all the seven local levels of the district have already published the information along with the list of those eligible for assistance.

The amount will also be available to the families who are facing financial crisis due to the death of the main breadwinner of a household due to COVID-19 infection and the families who take care of the helpless minor who have lost their parents. (RSS)
