CPN-UML electing 1,999 delegates for Gen Convention today



KATHMANDU: Main opposition CPN-UML is electing delegates for the 10th General Convention from across the country today.

A total of 1,999 representatives will be elected for the 10th General Convention to be held in Chitwan from November 26 to 28.

UML elected some delegates from the Gandaki Province Committee and some other districts yesterday.

The 10th General Convention Main Organizing Committee of the UML made public the slogan and logo of the Convention on Friday.

Unveiling a video message on Friday CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli said that the upcoming 10th general convention would establish UML as a political force capable of realizing national aspirations.

In the video message, he expressed his confidence that the general convention would bring the party building, expansion and unity process to a new height.

The party organization is gaining momentum in view of the preparation of the general convention, Chair Oli added.
