SAFF Championship: Nepal taking on Bangladesh today

KATHMANDU: Nepal is taking on Bangladesh in a cricket tournament under the SAFF Championship Twenty20 today.

The match will be held at the National Cricket Stadium in Male, the district headquarters of Maldives at 4:45 pm.

If Nepal drew with Bangladesh or won today’s match, it will enter the final of the SAFF Championship for the first time.

Of the total three matches played so far, Nepal has won two and lost one match. It had defeated host Maldives by 1-0 in the first match and Sri Lank by 3-2 in the second match.  Nepal lost to India 0-1 in the third match.

Host Maldives is atop the points tables with six points from two wins. Even though Nepal has also six points from two wins, it has been relegated to the second position after it lost to India.

Sri Lanka has already played four games while the other teams have played three matches each.

India is also paying a match with Maldives today itself.
