Man arrested on charge of swindling people out of hundreds of rupees



KATHMANDU: The police have arrested a person accused of swindling people out of hundreds of rupees on the pretext of providing job opportunities to them.

The police made the arrest of Krishna Poudel of Phedikhola Rural Municipality-4 in Syangja district on September 10 acting on a complaint lodged by the victims, said the police.

Poudel, who was currently living in Pokhara Metropolitan City-27 in Kaski district, collected Rs 2,500 from each person promising a job opportunity, said the police.

He ran a job placement agency named PG Real Estate and Job Link to attract his clients.

The district court has extended the judicial custody of Poudel by seven days.
