UML Chair Oli's writ assigned to Deepak Kumar Karki and Mira Khadka's bench

KATHMANDU: The writ petition filed by CPN-UML Chairperson KP Oli against the Speaker and the Election Commission (EC) alleging non-implementation of the party’s action taken against defecting lawmakers is being heard by the division bench of Justice Deepak Kumar Karki and Mira Khadka on Monday.

Earlier, a bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana had refused the interim order and summoned both the parties for discussion today.

The SC has demanded a written reply from EC for seeking latter’s decision to validate CPN-Unified Socialist form after the split of UML.

Today’s hearing are expected to help in forming a political ‘position’ in the issues raised by UML in the parliament.
