Bagmati CM Shakya in minority after Unified Socialist pulls out



KATHMANDU: The government led by Bagmati Chief Minister Astalakshmi Shakya has fallen into minority after the CPN-UML split and the CPN (Unified Socialist) Party withdrew its support.

The CPN (Unified Socialist) on Sunday wrote a letter to the Province Assembly stating that it does not support the Shakya-led government.

The first meeting of the Unified Socialist held at the Provincial Assembly Secretariat on Sunday decided not to support the Shakya-led government. According to the letter sent to the secretary of the Province Assembly, 13 members of the Unified Socialist have already become State Assembly members.  Assembly.

“I would like to inform the government led by Chief Minister Astalakshmi Shakya that there is no support for this party from today,” said Rajendra Prasad Pandey, leader of the Parliamentary Party of the Unified Socialist.
