PM Deuba instructs to remove promotional video from social media

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has instructed removal of a promotional campaign video of him from social media.

NC central member Dhanraj Gurung on Friday shared on social media that Prime Minister Deuba instructed so at the meeting of Central Working Committee (CWC) this morning.

“Those who chanted ‘I love you Ba’ shifted KP Oli from Singha Durbar to veranda of his residence in Balkot. Dear NC President! Similar trend of ‘I like Sher Bahadur’ has begun in the party after you assumed the the premiership. I was shocked to see the video. Beware of such a trend,” Gurung warned PM Deuba at the CWC meeting: he wrote on social media. “In return, PM Deuba assured me that he had already instructed to remove the video from social media.”

NC President Deuba has been widely criticized in and beyond the party as his promotional videos, in which several people have praised him, started to appear on social media.
