My govt is leaving by ensuring vaccination to all Nepalis: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Outgoing Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said he was leaving the government by ensuring vaccination to all Nepalis.

In his final address to the nation before leaving Singha Durbar, PM Oli claimed his government was able to secure vaccination to all Nepalis in a short time though Nepal was not a vaccine-producing nation. Stating that 13.1 million vaccines have been brought into the country and more than 20 million are in the process of procurement, he said, “We do not have a shortage of vaccines now.”

Oli warned that the new government could make claims to the vaccines ensured by his government. “From tomorrow, the new government would start saying it was providing vaccines to the people as the previous government is gone.”
