Talks between UML Chairman Oli and senior leader Nepal underway

KATHMANDU: Talks between Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli and UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal is underway in Kathmandu.

They had earlier agreed to hold talks to resolve the differences within the party.

The two leaders are holding talks at the house of Captain Rameswor Thapa at Chandranagar near Budanilakantha, sources have said.

PM Oli has been making concerted efforts to bring the disgruntled faction of the party led by Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal into confidence.

With just a few hours left before President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s deadline to form a new government, Prime Minister Oli and UML senior leader are holding talks to narrow down the differences.

Party sources said PM Oli is also preparing to call a Standing Committee meeting today itself by inviting leaders of the Nepal-Khanal faction.
