Police head constable dies after being hit by vehicle



BUTWAL: A police head constable has died after being hit by a vehicle in Rupandehi district.

The deceased has been identified as head constable of Area Police Office, Rudrapur, Karna Bahadur Budha Magar.

Originally from Airawati rural municipality-2, Pyuthan, Budha Magar, 36, was struck to death in the line of duty at Khanchan rural municipality-4, Thakali Chowk at around 2 am today, said DSP Satya Narayan Thapa of District Police Office, Rupandehi.

The vehicle that hit the police head constable is at large.

Police said they have launched a manhunt to nab the vehicle involved in the accident.
