UML Chairman Oli and senior leader Nepal holding talks today

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli and UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal are holding talks today.

PM Oli has been making concerted efforts to bring the disgruntled faction of the party led by Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal into confidence.

According to a UML leader, even though the meeting will be held this afternoon, the venue of the meeting has yet to be decided.

With just a few hours left before President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s deadline to form a new government, Prime Minister Oli is trying to convince the Nepal faction of the party.

Party sources said PM Oli is preparing to call a Standing Committee meeting today itself by inviting leaders of the Nepal-Khanal faction.

Meanwhile, prior to holding the SC meeting, PM Oli has proposed holding talks with Madhav Nepal.

PM Oli and Nepal have held telephone talks on Thursday.
