Two die in season’s first casualties on Mt Everest



KATHMANDU: Two climbers – an American and a Swiss — have died on Mt Everest recording the first human casualties this season.

According to the Seven Summit Treks, Puwei Liu of USA, and Abdul Waraich of Switzerland died while descending from the summit on Wednesday night.

Waraich died at the South Summit during his descent while Liu reached Hillary Step and died at Camp IV.
