Offices except most essentials to remain closed in Valley from today

KATHMANDU: The offices apart from the most essential ones will remain closed in the Kathmandu Valley from today.

According to Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Kali Prasd Rijal, the offices will be shut during the enforcement of prohibitory order in view of the spike in the COVID-19 cases.

Issuing a notice today, the KathmanduDistrict Administration shared that the decision was taken to control the outbreak of coronavirus infection when the pandemic has taken a serious turn.

“It is to impart information to make arrangement of closure of all offices except those dealing with the most essential services in all other districts from May 12 during the enforcement period of prohibitory order” reads the notice issued by the administration.

The most essential offices are also asked to deliver service with minimum staffers, the notice noted.
