Four killed, 18 injured in Dolakha jeep accident



CHARIKOT: Four people have died and 18 others sustained critical injuries in a jeep accident that occurred at Laduk in Bigu rural municipality-4 in Dolakha district.

Four passengers died on the spot while the other succumbed to injuries in the course of treatment after an ill-fated jeep, Pradesh No. 3-01-23 Cha 7580, met with an accident at 10:30 pm on Monday, said District Police Office, Dolakha.

The deceased have been identified as Binod KC, 35, Ajita Khatri, 45, Radha Khadka, 52, and Chandika Thapa, 24 of Bigu rural municipality-3, confirmed DSP Bhesh Raj Rijal of DPO, Dolakha.

Eight among those injured are receiving treatment at district headquarters Charikot while the remaining 10 have been ferried to Kathmandu for treatment, said Rijal.
