DOHA: Most of the staffers of the Nepali Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have contracted with COVID-19.
The embassy said in a statement that most of the embassy’s diplomatic and local staffers had been infected with COVID-19.
The embassy has requested employees to apply for passports by post and courier services after the staffers get infected with coronavirus.
Considering the convenience and security of the service recipients, the embassy is collecting applications for the renewal of passports through the post office so as not to affect the services provided by the embassy.
It has also requested to send the application through postal and courier service with effect from February 14.
The embassy also asked all the concerned to visit the embassy’s website regarding the documents to be filled in, the revenue to be paid and the documents to be sent along with it.
A statement issued by the embassy said that the employees were requested to apply for passports through courier and post office on February 14 to reduce physical contact.
