Two killed, five injured as microbus rams truck

DHADING:  Two people have died and five others sustained critical injuries after a microbus rammed a truck being parked at Charaundi Bazaar along the Prithvi Highway in Dhading district on Saturday morning.

The accident occurred after an ill-fated microbus, Ba 3 Kha 84, heading to Kathmandu carrying passengers from Nawalparasi hit a truck, Na 6 Kha 460, at Benighat in Dhading district.

The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Hiramaya Gurung of Devchuli municipality-16 and Krishna Kumari KC, 65, of Rajahar, Nawalparasi, informed DSP Yuba Raj Khadka of Area Police Office, Gajuri.

The five passengers injured in the accident have been sent to Old Medical College in Chitwan for treatment.
