KATHMANDU: Dharmendra Bastola, the western command chief and Secretariat member of the outlawed Biplav rebel group, has been arrested.

A police source told Khabarhub that Bastola alias “Kanchan” was arrested from Gimdi of Lalitpur, a border area of ​​Lalitpur and Makwanpur by a special police team deployed from Kathmandu and Lalitpur.

Bastola is also a member of the faction’s secretariat and head of the Foreign Department.

Likewise, Bibek Kumal considered close to the faction’s spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma “Prakanda” has also been arrested along with Bastola.
