NEPSE decreases by 88.70 points today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has decreased by 88.70 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2361.27 points.

A total of 7.4 million shares of 228 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 3.38 billion.

The banking group decreased by 44.53 points, the trade group by 189.25 points, the hotel, and tourism group by 87.26 points, the development bank group by 281.79 points, the hydropower group by 124.96 points, and the financial group by 100.27 points.

Similarly, the non-life insurance group declined by 490.12 points, the manufacturing, and processing group by 168.68 points, other groups by 63.04 points, the microfinance group by 175.63 points, and the life insurance group by 507.61 points.

Even in a declining market, Unilever investors have gained 2 percent.

The share trading of the new Sarathi MFI has taken a negative circuit break today.

Similarly, investors of Laxmi Equity Fund lost 9.62 percent, investors of Janaki Finance Company lost 9.17 percent, and investors of Nepal Hydro Developers lost 9.05 percent.

Manjushree Finance, which traded shares worth Rs. 312.8 million, is at the forefront in terms of the transaction amount.
