KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister (PM) Sher Bahadur Deuba reached NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel’s residence in Bohoratar last night and urged him not to retire from politics.

“The nation needs you,” a source quoted PM Deuba as saying, adding, “You should not quit politics.”

The conversation lasted for about an hour. Poudel had urged Deuba not to use the influence of power in party politics.

It is said that PM Deuba urged Poudel to remain active in politics.

During the meeting, Deuba also assured Poudel that he would give a prestigious position, sources said.

According to sources, Deuba has also requested senior leader Poudel to help him in the ongoing Convention.
