MCC delegation returns home Sunday evening

KATHMANDU: The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) delegation, including Compact Operations Vice President Fatima Sumar, has returned following a four-day visit to Nepal on Sunday evening.

According to General Manager of Tribhuvan International Airport Pratap Babu Tiwari, the team, including Vice President Sumar, left for home this evening. The delegation held separate meetings with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma and Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal during their stay.

Similarly, the delegation also discussed the MCC project with top leaders including CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai.

Earlier in the day, MCC Vice President Sumar also held a press conference here.
