Government invites main opposition UML for talks

KATHMANDU: The government has extended invitation to the main opposition CPN-UML for talks.

Speaking to the media on the federal parliament building premises Sunday, Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand urged the UML to come to the table to resolve issues seen in the parliament through dialogue. He expressed confidence that issues raised by the UML could be clarified through discussion.

The UML has been obstructing the parliament over Speaker Agni Sapkota’s role in UML split.

Home Minister Khand informed that Speaker Sapkota called an all-party meeting, including top leaders of UML, for Monday to address issues seen in parliament.
