KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has issued a short-term interim order not to proceed with the proceedings against UML MPs Som Prasad Pandey and Sarada Bhatt.
The Supreme Court on Sunday issued a short-term interim order not to take any immediate action in the case of Pandey and Bhatt, who reached the apex court demanding the UML to let them update their names in the CPN- Unified Socialist.
A single bench of justice, Mira Khadka on Tuesday summoned both sides for an interim order. A short-term interim order has been issued not to proceed the action against them till then.
Pandey and Bhatt had gone to the Supreme Court against the Election Commission’s (EC) decision not to include them in the identity when the UML split and formed a Unified Socialist party.
The Supreme Court has ordered to show cause in the name of the EC to answer within 15 days why Pandey and Bhatt were not identified.
