CCMC meeting to review COVID cases in Valley today

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) is taking place today.

The meeting will review on the latest status of the coronavirus cases following the removal of the prohibitory order.

Chief district officers (CDOs) of the Kathmandu Valley will hold a meeting following the CCMC meeting, informed CDO of Kathmandu Govinda Prasad Rijal.

“The latest average rate of active cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley is 300. We will discuss it in the meeting with the stakeholders. We will then hold a meeting to take decision on how to move ahead,” said CDO Rijal.

The prohibitory order has been removed in the Kathmandu Valley since the last week. Schools in some places in the Valley are operating with the permission of local units.

CDOs of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur, officials of local units and guardians have already agreed to operate schools with the physical attendance of students from September 17.
