NC leader Koirala expresses solidarity with party’s Bara leaders’ on active membership issue



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Shekhar Koirala has expressed solidarity with the sit-in staged at the NC Central Office in Sanepa over the issue of active membership.

Leaders and cadres of NC Bara staged a sit-in at the party central office Monday afternoon, alleging irregularities in the active membership process.

He had reached the party headquarters to take stock of the sit-in and hear the complaints of leaders and cadres. Koirala was accompanied by NC central member Ram Krishna Yadav, former chief secretaries of the NC Central Office Sobhakar Parajuli and Rishikesh Tiwari.

Koirala said the active membership distributed arbitrarily with the intention of capturing the party by going beyond the party constitution would not be acceptable under any circumstances.
