This is a rebellion: Gagan Thapa

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that the special general convention is not merely a routine party program but a rebellion.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the closed-door session of the special general convention underway at Bhrikutimandap in the capital, Thapa said, “This is not a regular program. We are part of a rebellion. This is a rebellion. Raising questions itself is an act of rebellion. Remaining silent is like embracing death. We raised questions.”

He added that the current special general convention would have a distinct place in history and be a matter of pride. Thapa also clarified that the convention was not organized out of a desire for positions.
