SC verdict is flawed and unpleasant yet we will accept it: CPN-UML

KATHMANDU: The informal meeting of ruling CPN-UML’s Standing Committee has criticized Monday’s Supreme Court verdict as flawed and unpleasant and stated that it will still abide by it.

“The SC verdict has come against the democratic norms and values and theory of separation of power,” UML spokesperson Pradeep Gyawali said after the informal meeting held at Baluwatar, adding, “Yet, however flawed the verdict may be we will cooperate in the implementation of the verdict.”

Spokesperson Gyawali added that the official opinion of the party will come after the formal meeting of Standing Committee scheduled for Monday.
