JSP meeting inconclusive; unified view on Thursday

KATHMANDU: An informal meeting of the office bearers of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) to discuss the formation of a new government ended inconclusively.

In today’s meeting held at the party office in Balkumari, the leaders discussed various options of forming an alternative government.

According to party leader Dr Baburam Bhattarai, it is obvious that a democratic party will have different opinions.

“We will come with a unified view on Thursday,” he said dismissing reports that the party had two factions.

“In fact, JSP has two different views, not two factions,” he said.

It should be noted that Thursday is the last day for the formation of an alternative government as per Article 76 (2) of the Constitution.
