UML to lower party flag in demise of Chaulagain



KATHMANDU: The CPN (UML) has decided to fly the party flag at half-mast for three days in the demise of Pashupati Chaulagain, a Province Assembly member from the party.

Chaulagain died on Tuesday.

Besides, a condolence book is to be kept at the party’s central office and party offices across the country to mourn the demise of the party leader.

According to UML Central Office secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang, leaders today paid tributes to the late Chaulagain by garlanding his portrait placed on the top of the entrance of central party office.

Chaulagain had died from Covid-19 on Monday. He was cremated at the Pashupati Aryaghat on Wednesday. He was a member of the Bagmati Province Assembly from Dolakha ‘B’.

He had won the 2056 BS general election from Dolakha 1 and was a member in the 2013 second Constituent Assembly (CA) from the proportional representation quota.

Chaulagain who had joined active politics since his student life is taken as the descent, dedicated and honest political leader.
