Janamorcha seeks clarification from ‘non-loyal’ lawmaker Thapa

POKHARA: The Rastriya Janamorcha Nepal has asked Gandaki state assembly member Krishna Thapa for clarification for not signing in for the formation of a government under Nepali Congress.

According to party sources, Janamorcha has asked its province lawmakers to sign to support the NC-led government.

However, lawmaker and parliamentary party leader in the province Krishna Thapa had been hesitant to sign in the sheet to be sent to Province Governor to claim the government lead.

After Gandaki Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung resigned on May 9, Province Governor Sita Poudel has called for the formation of a new government within three days.

The deadline is ending at 4 pm today.

Janamorcha lawmakers are the kingmakers for both the CPN-UML or NC-led alliance.

In the meantime, lawmaker Thapa has informed that he is heading for his home town Baglung without signing the document.

With the latest confusion seen in Janamorcha, the government formation deadline in  Gandaki Province is likely to be over without receiving a new claim for the government.
