Nepal Super League: Dhangadhi beats Kathmandu 2-1 to reach final



KATHMANDU: Dhangadhi has entered the final of Nepal Super League by defeating Kathmandu Razors 2-1 in the first play-off held in the capital on Tuesday evening.

Held at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor, Dhangadhi’s Pujan Uparkoti and Bishal Rai scored one goal each to take Dhangadhi to the final of the League.

In reply, Kathmandu’s Tej Tamang scored a goal against Dhangadhi.

Each team had scored one goal each up to 90 minutes and  the match went for an extra time during which Bishal scored an another goal ensuring win for Dhangadhi.

Kathmandu has to face an eliminator to reach the final. It will now play with the winner between Kathmandu Lalitpur City and Butwal Lumbini FC in the eliminator.
