UML Nepal-Khanal faction issues an assuring circular to cadres



KATHMANDU: Ruling CPN-UML’s disgruntled faction led by Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal has issued a four-page long internal circular assuring the party cadres that their victory is certain.

The circular signed and issued by Nepal on April 9 states that despite few elements attempt to end the communist movement, the victory of the people loyal to the spirit of communism is certain.

“Let us all move forward with confidence that will make the reactionary forces despondent by witnessing our revival,” the circular says, “We are sure to overwhelm such forces.”

The circular includes the decisions of the party’s national conclave held on March 16 and 17, and decisions of Standing Committee and Central Committee of varying dates.

The circular has criticized the party’s establishment led by Prime Minister and Chairman KP Oli, and has accused Oli of the breach of policy and rules passed by the Ninth General Convention of the party.
