Banke witnesses 44 fresh cases of coronavirus in 24 hrs

NEPALGUNJ: Establishing itself as a coronavirus pandemic hub again, Banke has confirmed 44 cases of the virus on Monday.

According to District COVID-19 Crisis Management Center, Banke sources, the district found coronavirus in 41 swabs tested in Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj, three more in the antigen tests carried out at the Health Desk set up to test the virus in the India returnees.

Out of 78 swabs tested at Bheri Hospital, 41 were confirmed as COVID-19 positive, the hospital said.

Similarly, Kohalpur municipality ward no. a 35-year-old man and his 12-year-old son of Kohalpur-2, have been confirmed as coronavirus positive Likewise, a 19-year-old boy from Surkhet Simta also tested coronavirus posoitive. All three are the India returnees.

Corona infections are on the rise in Banke of late.
