Prachanda says he won’t woo former Maoist leaders in Oli camp

BUTWAL: Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said today that he will not go after wooing former Maoist leaders including Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ currently in the Prime Minister KP Oli camp.

Addressing the party cadres in Butwal, Chairman Prachanda regretted he listened to those who deserted him in the past.

Some influential leaders of former Maoist background including Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Lekh Raj Bhatt, Prabhu Shah, Mani Thapa are with PM Oli.

“I regret I trusted even those who deserted me and the party in the past; it was my mistake,” he said, adding, “I will not call them back again for as an emotional and gullible man I might melt again if they cry.”

Prachanda promised to be alert and cautious against such leaders now.

Had I listened to the comrades who made me ‘Prachanda’ perhaps I would have fared better, he said.
