Man arrested with Rs 4.2 million in Bhaktapur



BHAKTAPUR: Bhaktapur Police has arrested a person with Rs 4.2 million from an unidentified source.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi arrested Suman Ghimire with the money during a security check at Kaushaltar.

According to police, Rs 2.7 million was recovered during the security check and Rs 1.5 million from his room based in Balkot.

Originally from Dolakha, Ghimire was staying at Suryabinayak municipality-3, Balkot, Rose Village.

Police took him under control after Ghimire could not furnish the source of the money.

Police said they are investigating the case.
