CPN-UML to hold CC meeting on March 14

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called a Central Committee (CC) meeting.

The CC meeting will take place at Baluwatar on March 14, informed UML Standing Committee member Subas Nembang.

The UML is holding its CC meeting for the first time following the Supreme Court’s verdict that restored the erstwhile CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center), scrapping their unification as the Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

According to UML sources, 241 CC members elected by the ninth General Convention of the party will participate in the CC meeting.

Even though the agenda of the meeting is not made public yet, the CC meeting is likely to nominate Maoist Center leaders who decided not to return to their mother party to the CC, according to UML sources.
