Bagmati Chief Minister expands cabinet; inducts Jamarkattel and Lama as Ministers

Portfolio of Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning to Jamarkattel; Ministry of Health to Lama



KATHMANDU: Chief Minister Rajendra Pandey has expanded the Council of Ministers of Bagmati Province Thursday.

Two new ministers — Shalikram Jamarkattel from the CPN-Maoist Center and Neema Lama from the Nepali Congress — have been inducted into the cabinet.

Chief Minister Pandey has given the portfolio of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning to Jamarkattel and the Ministry of Health to Lama. The two newly appointed ministers have taken oath of office and secrecy.

Bagmati CM Pandey had appointed three Ministers the day he was sworn in on October 28.

With today’s addition, the cabinet of Bagmati Province has become 5-member strong. However, it has yet to get full shape.
