CoAS Sharma meets Indian Defense Minister Singh

KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Prabhuram Sharma, who is on a visit to India, has met the Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh at the latter’s office on Thursday.

Earlier, CoAS Sharma called on Indian External Affairs S Jaishankar. He also met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

According to the Nepal Army, CoAS Sharma also visited the National Defense College in New Delhi on Thursday.

President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday conferred the honorary rank of General of the Indian Army on Nepal’s CoAS General Sharma at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi.

It has been a tradition to confer honorary rank of the General on the Chiefs of Army Staff of Nepal and India in the two countries.
